A hyperlink is a clickable link that sends users from one page to another or to a specific section within a page. 

How does it work?

Click it, and you’re transported. Links can be text (anchor text) or images/ buttons. 

Why does it matter?

Hyperlinks improve navigation, keep users engaged, and pass SEO authority between pages. 

Examples:

  • Internal link: “Check out our services” > another page on your site. 
  • External link: “Read Google’s guidelines” > outside source.
