What is a value proposition?

A value proposition clearly explains why someone should choose your product or service over the alternatives. It spells out the benefit, who it’s for, and what makes it different, ideally in one sharp, easy-to-digest statement. 

If it can’t answer “why you?” in a few seconds, it’s not doing its job.
